Natuzzi Ice SoFlo
Our company’s legacy

Four generations of ice, now with palm trees.

From horse-drawn ice blocks in Queens to refrigerated trucks on I-95.

History

The iceman’s family

Natuzzi Ice started as Frank Natuzzi and Son Ice Co. in the early 1900s. Frank and his son Luke delivered big blocks of ice to homes and businesses in Queens, New York, back when the iceman was part of everyday life.

Luke flew as a pilot in World War II before joining the business, and he wanted it to grow. He moved the company into dry ice early on and made it one of New York’s first dry ice wholesalers. His son John carried the business through a changing industry and moved it into packaged ice manufacturing as demand took off.

Today the fourth generation runs the company, and the Natuzzi name now covers South Florida as well.

John Natuzzi Jr., President

Jake Natuzzi, Chief Operating Officer

The brothers grew up in the business and learned ice and dry ice from the ground up. They’re building the company for long-term growth in both of its markets.

Where we’ve been

To know where you are, you need to know where you’ve been.

Before the mountain logo and the pink SoFlo script, there was Natuzzi Bros. Ice Co., Inc. in New York: dry ice, cubed ice, event catering and ice sculptures, all from one 718 number.

This old sticker has cracked from years in the cold. Four generations later, the family name it carries is on every bag we deliver in South Florida.

Why South Florida

Ice isn’t seasonal here.

In New York, ice demand peaks in July. In South Florida, it runs high all year. Hurricane season, boating season, festival season, snowbird season: there’s always a reason. So we opened a plant in Fort Lauderdale and brought the family way of doing business with us. We answer the phone, show up on time and keep going after a storm.
